Halfway Community Picnic
We will be hosting a community picnic on Saturday, August 24th, beginnning at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Chairs will also be provided, but feel free to bring your own lawn chair to relax in. Music will be performed by our favorite bluegrass band! We welcome friends, families and neighbors for an evening of food, fun and fellowship. This event will take place rain or shine.
Dinner Together
Our Dinner Together continues to meet every other Thursday evening at 6:15 p.m. in our social hall. The next dinner will be on Thursday, August 22nd. and will feature chicken casserole. Please join us and bring your friends and family for an enriching experience of food, fellowship and faith.

Please join us on August 12th at 6:00 p.m. for our annual community picnic. Hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks will be provided. Bring a dessert or side dish to share, as well as your favorite lawn chair. Music will be provided by Cobbler Mountain Grass. Come with friends and neighbors for an evening of food, fun and fellowship, rain or shine!
Annual Fish Fry
Please join us on Saturday, May 13th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for our annual fish fry, including coleslaw, desserts and drinks. There is no charge. Bring friends and neighbors for a time of good food and fellowship.
Potter’s House
On this coming Saturday, February 4th, starting at 9:00 a.m., Potter’s House (The Plains) will be operating out of Long Branch Baptist Church, which is located on Halfway Road between The Plains and Middleburg. For those not familiar with the Potter’s House, this is a Christian outreach program offering clothing and household goods to those in need. All are welcome.
Annual Community Picnic
Our annual community picnic was held on August 20th. Special music was provided by the Spiritual Harmonizers of Northern Virginia. The weather was picture-perfect and everyone had a wonderful time with great food, fellowship and music.
Our May 2022 Fish Fry was a huge success
Wednesday Dinner and Movie Nights
Three nights of dinner and short movies, beginning April 13th at 6:00 p.m. with free hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. The first movie will be “Come Follow Me” about Peter’s rocky journey to follow Jesus. The next two events will be on April 27th and May 11th. Bring a friend and join us in this time of food, fellowship and movie experience.

The guest speaker will be Brittni Johnson. Special music will be provided by The Millers from Winchester. Service beings at 11:00 am and is followed by a covered dish luncheon on the church grounds. Please bring a dish to share.
